Mentorship

Modern Simple
Your first improvisational quilt.
Mentorship with Judy Martin
Began in earnest on Friday, January 10.

The young women involved (mostly moms) are beginning quilters.  They have chosen that their first project should be a joint quilt.  On this first session we learned the importance of a design wall and practiced using the rotary cutter.  Judy Martin is acting as an adviser only, through email and occasional sessions in her studio.  The first meeting was very inspirational for all concerned.  The blocks above were created by Gloria, Sally, Heather, and Mariana.  The yellow and white quilt is by Judy, and was used as a design wall.
