Quilts = Art = Quilts 2023 opened October 28 at the Schweinfurth Art Centre in Auburn New York.
This is a highly respected annual juried exhibition of art quilts. This year's jurors are Chawne Kimber and Irene Roderick. Awards were announced at the opening reception. 70 artists are included this year. The list is at this link. The same link will take you to a virtual tour of the exhibition.
The Schweinfurth Award is chosen by the staff of the art centre. These are people who handle all the quilts, touch them, feel their weight, see the beautiful, sometimes surprising backs. It is an honour to receive this award. Thank you.
