World of Threads newsletter features Judy Martin

Bidwell 2017 detail
Bidwell  Judy Martin   66.5 x 53"

This is the closest I've come to landscape representation.   There is a country road on Manitoulin Island named the Bidwell.  The french knots at the top of this piece represent for me, the blackbirds in one of their murmarations in the sky.

In 2018 World of Threads biennial was held in Oakville and Judy Martin's work from her 2017 exhibition The Cloud In Me held at David Kaye Gallery (Toronto) in 2017 was invited to be one of the solo exhibitions.
My Open Heart    58 x 48.5 inches, three layers of wool, natural dyes, slashed and hand stitched
These two pieces were selected for the newsletter sent out by World of Threads this past week.

Here is link if you wish to subscribe to the newsletter.
