INSIDE OUT opens for public viewing in Kitchener, Ontario

Inside Out exhibition is installed at the Homer Watson Gallery in Kitchener, Ontario

Above photo left to right:
a) red thread hearts (second side), women's hankies appliqued to linen damask.  76 inches square two-sided textile, 2019,  
b) love spreads (second side), two linen damask table cloths, the central one dyed red and cut with holes which were then filled with velvet in reverse applique and surrounded by red silk thread chatai embroidery, 85.5 x 61.5  inches, a two-sided textile, 2023
c) ancient teaching: forget about your age, watercolour of an old blanket, 30 x 22 inches, 2022,
d) ancient teaching: eat rice, watercolour of a quilt design pierced with holes and stitched, 18 inches square 2019.

The opening reception will be held on April 30, 2023 at 2 pm.  Judy will speak about this body of work at this time.   The exhibition is open to the public from March 3 until June 25, 2023.   Click here for more information.

  2. Wow Judy, just wow. Viewing your work gives me a feeling very similar to what I experience when viewing a body of water. I want to be silent and breathe into my soul the sight that is enveloping me. I feel the water draws me to it but, I somehow draw the water to me too. It's sacred and I experience oneness in that moment.
